The Heavens Declare the Glory of God

Dr. Kennedy has done a wonderful job of clarifying and synthesizing the teaching from several previous books on this subject, incorporating material from Bullinger's Witness Of The Stars, and several other less well-known volumes. In the Christian community, the subject of astrology and the zodiac can be a hot-button-issue of controversy because of the Biblical admonitions against divination and looking to the stars for guidance. Kennedy makes it clear that he is not advocating horoscopes or astrologers, but is giving the history of how the constellations (that bear little resemblance to animals, scales, giants or dragons) came to acquire their names in the time of pre-history and pre-Scriptures. He relates how, before paper or language, the story of the Gospel and redemption was portrayed and preserved in story form with the night sky as a kind of early power-point visual aid. As an Evangelical bible college professor, I highly recommend Dr. Kennedy's fascinating book.

LOVE IT!!

I had to search hard for this book. I had followed Dr. Kennedy's series on the radio years ago and it had made quite an impact on me.
In my search, I found there seem to be some in the Christian realm who have attempted to discredit his message in this book now that he has gone home to the Lord. For some, it appears that it may cause discomfort because they fear he is associating too closely with astrology - (which is forbidden to believers). In reality, the Creator originally designed the universe and layed out the stars and planets in perfection for the purpose of pointing to the coming Christ - just as He has through His revealed Word (Scriptures) as well.
For myself, I found it relevant enough to search for the book and purchase it for future reference.
The Star of Bethlehem, another (more recent) book (DVD) dealing with astromony from the Lord's perspective in relationship to Christ seems to authenticate Dr. Kennedy's research.

The Real Meaning of the Zodiac

Found this book absolutely fascinating..even used it while teaching a class on the book of Genesis.It puts so many of the different countries mythologies into their correct perspectives.
It does take a bit longer to read, since the material is somewhat difficult, however well worth the read and study. We serve an awesome G-d.
